• Represents and defends, with any national or foreign entity, the global interests of the companies producing and/or recovering wood packaging, for the collection, recovering, recycling, valuation and promotion of wood packaging waste;

• Promotes and divulges economic, financial, scientific, technical, technological or other studies, related to the valuation and use of wood packaging waste;

• Adheres or implements the installation and functioning of an integrated system for the management of wood packaging waste;

• Cooperates with central and local state entities and with public or private legal entities, on the accomplishment of the associative goals;

• Contributes for the collection and valuation of used wood packaging, as well as of other wood packaging waste that may be recycled;

• Guarantees, along with the competent entities, created or to be created, the outlet of waste recovered from wood packaging, always seeking its valuation;

• Concedes the use of trademarks, owned by the association, by economic operators, against the payment of an amount per packaging unit on the market. Their products may then participate on the systems that allow their re-use, and specially guarantee their recycling;

• Cooperates with other packaging waste management systems, in order to obtain a mutual reciprocity on the use of the respective trademarks;

• Takes all the initiatives that may be of interest to the associated members.

In order to achieve its goals, Embar may:

• become member of other entities or associations that pursue the same objectives.

• also participate in the constitution of entities that are responsible for the integrated management of packaging waste, even if they are anonymous associations and Embar becomes one of the stockholders.
